The Uganda Safari offers you an opportunity to discover the Pearl of Africa from trekking chimps in their natural state in Kibale Forest National Park. Our 8 Days offers you an opportunity to the thrilling savannah vegetation in Murchison Falls National Park enjoy game viewing/drives and boat cruises. Such animals are expected to see in their natural habitat thousands of antelopes, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards.

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe Airport

8 Days Uganda Primate SafariOur driver guide will well come to the Pearl of Africa as you arrive to Entebbe Airport, he will brief you about your 18 Days Ultimate Uganda Safari and then he will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation as you repair for the next day activity. Have Dinner and overnight at Protea hotel/Imperial botanical hotel/Air port view guest house.

Day 2: Mabamba Swamp Birding Excursion

After early morning breakfast, you embark on the drive from your place of stay in Kampala/Entebbe to Mabamba Swamp around 50km from Kampala the capital of Uganda. The drive to Mabamba is an experience of its own offering chances of exploring various bird species like Papyrus Gonolek, White Shouldered Tit, Red Cap, Western Banded Snake Eagle, White Winged Warbler, White Spotted Fluftail and Weyns Weaver. Upon arrival in Mabamba Swamp, you get to the canoe and head to the swamp in the company of a local person worth expertise in paddling through the narrow water channels surrounded by dense swamp vegetation. Birding in Uganda`s Mabamba on Lake Victoria swamp features counts of birds including the rare and the Vulnerable Shoebill stork, the Allen’s and Purple Gallinule, Grey herons, Jacanas, Ruffaus Squaco, the globally threatened Pallid Harrier and Bellied Heron. Other species like blue swallow, ducks and egrets among other birds can be explored.  The swamp dwelling Sitatunga antelope may be explored during the swamp tour. You will retreat from the experience and drive to Kampala for Dinner and overnight at Kampala serena/Accasia lodge/Forest cottage.

Day 3: Transfer from Jinja to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After early morning breakfast, you will embark on your drive of about 4-5 hours from Kampala city to Nakasongola to visit Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking white and black Rhinos. Have an opportunity of tracking these endangered species and learn more about them and then Proceed Murchison falls National Park  to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight at Para safari lodge/Murchison River/Red Chili.

Day 4: Morning Game Drives and Boat Cruise on the Nile

Being your day with cup of tea and then embark on your early morning game viewing in Murchison falls which is a home to different wildlife species over 76 mammal and 451 bird species including the Buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests, Antelopes, Lions, Kobs, Giraffes, Hyenas, Bushbucks, and Warthogs among others. The Park is widely spread all over the Savannah grasslands, grazing or hunting for prey. This makes the park’s landscape so amazing for game driving. It is the country’s oldest and largest National Park and hence you can spot the Big 4, the park is also bisected by the renowned River Nile into two parts such as the Northern bank and the Southern bank. Return to lodge for breakfast and lunch as you prepare for boat cruise on River Nile.

In afternoon, you will go for boat trip where you will have an opportunity to spot several herds of buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, water bird species and other wild animals as they flock River Nile to drink water. The boat will lead you to the base of these falls, where you will get out and start off on a 1 hour hike to the top of the Murchison waterfalls, you will see amazing sceneries; right from the falls, vegetation among others. You will meet your driver guide at the top who will later transfer you back to the lodge. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight at Para safari lodge/Murchison River/Red Chili.

Day 5: Hot Air Balloon and Late afternoon Delta Cruise

After an early breakfast, your drive guide will be picked you up to start your Hot Air Balloon safari on the Para side of Murchison Falls National Park. If you are staying on the southern bank of River Nile, It’s at Para Lodge that all will assemble to start your journey to the starting point of your balloon. You, the pilots and the whole crew will be transported to the starting point of your hot air balloon safari. As the Balloon is being assembled, you will be offered a cup of tea or coffee. Once this is done, the pilot will give you a short briefing, get on board and start your hot air balloon safari. Imagine experience of observing all these animals the beautiful rivers, trees and the sun setting some meters above. This whole experience may take to one hour exploring Murchison Falls National Park. After landing, you will be given certificates and those that would have paid a full hot air balloon package be treated to a full bush breakfast. Transfer to your Lodge for relaxation, lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to Albert delta where there is a lot of action and activity. Depending on your luck, you may find elephants, buffaloes and hippos crossing, crocodiles every well as well as chances of spotting the rare shoebill stock. Return back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Para safari lodge/Murchison River/Red Chili

Day 6: Bird Watching Safari to Kibale National Park.

In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on longer drive to Kibale National Park making some stopovers for lunch along the way and as well catching up some bird species. Arrival and overnight at Papaya safari lodge/chimpanzee guest house/Kibale forest camp

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park headquarters at Kanyakyu to join other trekkers for briefing and eventual chimpanzee trekking. Your game ranger guide will take you for a guided primate walk inside Kibale Forest National Park. This forest provides an opportunity to visit one of the habituated communities/part of chimpanzees and spend an hour with them observing and taking photographs. Kibale National Park is home to other 13 primate species coupled with forest birds. After your chimpanzee trek, you will drive to Bigodi Village for a wetland walk that was designed to benefit the local community living around Kibale Forest National Park. Have lunch and overnight at Papaya safari lodge/chimpanzee guest house/Kibale forest camp.

Day 8: Transfer to Kampala City / Entebbe Internal Airport

After morning breakfast, you will embark on your journey to Kampala city/Entebbe International Airport.
